Ok TB I'm getting a new Brubaker Brute SC in Natural (ash) and I'm going to upgrade it with a J/MM set of Reed James pickups with wooden covers. What color or wood type would you chose for the pickups? The fingerboard is rosewood, HW is silver (chrome), I also plan on getting wood knobs. Pic of bass is attached. I think a solid rosewood would be too boring. Two solid colors together. I was thinking Goncalo Alves or Zebrawood.
