That thing with pads is connected to his computer and each pad is set up to play different audio files, you need the software to make it work. there are some that have rotating disks that are digital controlers and you can sacratch with them or turn them at any speed to play a file like a record player. DAW is what they call it.

MIDI lets you connect 2 keyboards together that play 2 different sounds when you play 1 keyboard. because the keyboards have thier own sounds they both have stereo outputs you can connect 4 ampified DJ speakers and place the speakers around you as you play. sometimes if you get differently timed sounds like one is suden, and short, and the other fades in when you hold the keys down longer for parts of a song, it goes around the room. For an example, think of organ, and piano played together with one keyboard. you can spend hours messing around with it. thats why we have it.

Make all connections with power off, then turn the keyboard on, then power on the other MIDI devices.
MIDI starts working on its own, the sound you have ready to play on the other MIDI keyboard or device will be the sound you hear when you press the keys of the keyboard you are playing, the sound you have selected to hear on the keyboard you are playing, will be the other sound you hear comming out the speakers. You may notice, when you change sounds on the keyboard you are playing, the sound of the other keyboard will change, and it comes up with some very enteresting combinations. if you don't want it to play the sound it changed to, just change it back to the way you had it. selecting sounds that use PING PONG delays will make the sound go around you as you play. you can control the mix of the sounds with the volume controls of each device playing.

Some call it Ripped off, yet it could be more like a complement. They liked it so much they used it in their own song. To actually steal a Song or riff, is to play your own version and it becomes more popular than the original. I remember as a kid someone saying, the beatles stole Elton Johns Lucy in the sky with Diamonds. And Maybe Led Zeppelin stole Rock & Roll (music) from the Beatles. Listen to the two songs one after another. "Got to be Rock Roll music, if you wanna dance with me, if you wanna dance with me."
does that sound like Robert Plant?
