They did move from their original location on St. Antoine Street where they had different units for drums, guitars, keys etc. They now moved the main downtown artery ( St. Catherine St) where everything is in one large store 2 floor store.

Check out the virtual visit feature. Its pretty cool.

I started playing bass at 13. It was in High School when I began to just noodle on a bass that was there. Then apparently a teacher noticed that I was playing and he told my parents. Then, Christmas came and i kept getting asked about what my mum should buy me for Christmas, I just didn't know what to ask for. Then my brother suggest a bass guitar, so I was like ok. Christmas morning comes and I open the parcel and find a red P bass by a company called Ammoon. I'd say that it was ok for beginners but I had to give it a basic setup. So yeah, thanks for to my mother, I now enjoy playing bass. Thanks Mum. So yeah that's what I started on.

I started on guitar, having lessons from the maths teacher during lunchtimes and another teacher (old jazz guy, wish I could remember his name) on Saturday mornings at the YMCA.

When I started working some of us got a band together for a company function, there were enough guitarists so I volunteered to play bass on a borrowed Rickenbacker copy. Loved it! Got my Precision shortly afterwards.

Started dabbling with drums when I was ~5 years old. Got slightly more serious when I was 6 or 7, and then 11, and finally circa age 15 or 16 became a bona fide drummer

...up until age 30-ish. Meanwhile...

Started playing flute in school band at age 8. Kept that up seriously until age 13. Played less-than-seriously until age 20-ish.

Started playing guitar at age 11. Kept that up seriously for freakin' ever ...although some time in the last ~20-something years I admitted to myself that I would never be a KICK ASS guitarist, so it's just something I do as a hobby, an aside, a very occasional gig option.

Started playing electric bass at age 13. That was in early 1974. Haven't given it up since.

Started playing upright bass at age 17 (high school orchestra director to me senior year: "you play bass guitar, it's the same thing, here...we're doing the Brandenberg Concertos on Thursday night, ask Charlie what a bow is.") Stopped playing upright bass at age 18 when I went off to college and realized you couldn't fit a doghouse in a Volkswagen Beetle.
