I scored this fistful of pickups at a yard sale this morning. Three Bartolinis and a Nordstrand. The Bartolinis are all constructed very differently. I don't have a clue how these types of pickups work or what I could use them for.

It's not hardwired to a configuration, you can wire it as you like.
But if you want to know to which configuration it's designed for, you have to ask Nordstrand.
Maybe Bartolini has changed their manufacturing process during the years?
Thank you, I'll shoot them an email.
Pretty sure the S on the bottom of that one means it's series optimized. The B means it's a bridge pickup. You can wire it however you want, but we designed it to sound best (to our ears of course) in series mode.
The Bartolini pickups with the B at the end go in the neck position. The "B" doesn't stand for bridge. Bartolini used "T" for treble (bridge) and "B" for bass (neck).
