What do u guys think about the ibanez srx 550?

Im looking for a new bass and that artic frost ibanez srx 550 got my attention! What do u guys think? U guys are the masters at this so please help a bradda out! Thanx

You know, I was just thinking of picking up an Ibanez. I'm going to stop by the GC and try several.

Do what I do, I see something that looks apealing, and then I go down and find out how it sounds.

Well to me it sounds wonderful! Ibanez is the only that makes the best basses arround now a days man! And If u come up to the srx 550 give it a try and you'll see that its just awesomeness

Other than being a little heavy.. I love my SRX 470. Mine is a pearl white and a definate eye catcher as well!

I think they are discontinued (at least in the US, they don't show up on Ibanez web page anymore). That said, they were closer to the top end of the SRX line when they were available. I have the original SRX505 which is basically a 5 string version the same bass but with different top wood, love it. Pups are great, preamp is meh, hardware is good, and neck profile rocks.

Yeah dude! Wonder why they got discontinued.....and yeah the pick ups are mean!! And u know it feels light but sounds heavy causr of the pubs!! And its a well made bass!!
