What do you do when it's all been done before?

I have these times too where I feel like I've hit a plateau. The only thing I can so is keep moving

 

play ya bass like there's no tomorrow

 

Take a break. Or play another instrument. That's what I do, and when I come back to the instrument(s) it's like opening a floodgate of riffs....works every time.

 

As this is in OT, I assume we're not talking about our bass-playing.. What then are we talking about? Further, it has all been done before, so whatever we do, that's what we do when it's *all been done before*
Personally, I drive on and don't concern myself w/any attempt to be original, as it is impossible.

 

Attempt miserably to be funny and clever on an internet forum, starting with your avatar. Feel a bit gratified every time you get quoted and end up not noticing life passing by as you proceed to waste all your days on said internet forum. This will work well up to the moment you get your first temp-ban, from there it's a downward spiral that might end up in the abysses of 4chan.

 

get up, go outside and start walking, keep walking till you come up with a plan to be different , fresh and creative again.

note: bring a sandwich and a compass just in case it takes awhile

Are we talking about bass playing only or the whole "what's the point of life" thing?
