What do you do when the string tree is out of alignment?

Really weird... I bought a 1975 Precision bass and after getting it all set up, I noticed that the string tree is a little closer to the D string than the G string. So the G string doesn't sit right under the tree, it wants to pop out or it's pulling to the side. *** Fender? That 70s quality control was a little lax, I guess. I don't want to plug and re-drill the hole, is there any other way to fix this? Or should I just not worry about it?

I think I'm going to ignore it.
