The whole concept is made up. Objects are just objects, made up up billions of atoms. They only have "value" because we perceive they do.

Is there any particular meaning to your user name? It seems to be affecting the conversation.

Objects receive value we assign them based on their usefulness to us.

I'm guilty of using speech in public that is inappropriate at times and when someone mentions it to me is when I apologize.

I'm far from perfect, which leaves me apologizing often, but not being able to admit when you're wrong is a personality defect.

Wow, everyone here is really bothered by so much! It's insane, someone does something, and it bothers you....but something you do bothers someone else, and you do not realize it. I mean seriously, the other day, I was walking down a street, explaining to a friend something that had happened earlier, talking like I normally do. Then this middle aged lady jujst goes completely crazy on me, making a scene about how a had said a bad word (F**k) ooo big deal, she was using her own assortment of words that aren't exactly "public appropriate" and I don't even think that she realized it...so sad...

But ya, just think about it, no matter what, anything that we do will always annoy someone, so I think that we are all not tolerent enough in society. I can understand the really evidently annoying things, like loudly swearing, or making scenes at restaurants, and stuff like that, but for everyday walk-down-the-street type of things, you guys gotta relax. By pointing small things that annoy you to people on the street could very easily be annoying just as much, as you have just invaded their conversation: interupted, and invaded privacy...

just my 2 cents for what I have noticed all around us these days...

What really pisses me off is when you go to the grocery store and cashiers talk between them and don't even look at you, or talk to you once, except when its time to tell you how much you owe them.

I even went there once and she was so into her conversation with the other cashier that she didn't even tell me the price, she just pointed it to me on her screen

Agreed. MOST of the rude things discussed in this thread are really not a big deal (obvious exceptions include traffic violations, attacking someone with a hammer etc.)

What do you personely find to be rude ? Off the top of my head I would say people who dont call you back after repeated messages are rude.

When I'm at work, there's nothing more rude than a guest who treats you as an inferior. If it goes as far as employee abuse, such as swearing and insults, I'll ask them to leave. Usually they don't, and that's when the fun begins.

All in all, there's not too much that'll get on my nerves, except for your standard idiot in the driver's seat and just overall abrasive people who think their time is more important than yours.
There's a good quote a TB'er has for a sig..."Poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine." Working for a hotel I get this attitude a little too often.

I know people who don't even say tame words like crap because they are "swear" words, whereas these words are common usage for most people these days. Not to mention the fact that this guy was told off at a SPORTING EVENT, while he was having A CONVERSATION! If he was ranting and raving, shouting tirades of insults and swear words I can understand but he was having a conversation, the guy should have kept his mouth shut and minded his own business.....

When other people driving gawk and motion at you as if you did something wrong.

Case one: It was a yellow light and i thought i could make it, so i DIDNT speed up just simply went through it, and it turned red right when i was under it. I look up and this lady who stopped for the yellow on the opposite side starts waving her arms at me - maybe i didn't make the best decision but she had no right to gawk.

Case Two: I have the right of way through an intersection, but i slow dow because i know its a tricky intersection for people who don't know about it. This lady starts to go as i go through the itnersection. She got served. Well, then she did yell rude comments at me
