What do you think about the odd Parker Fly?

I wish they had made it look a lot more like the Parker guitars. Those are real classy looking.

Don't know what you guys are talking about -- the Parker just might be a love it or hate it type of bass, but please don't dog the sound.

It's got a great sound, it does a great job.

When these hit the street, the sale prices for them were in the $2200-$2400 price range at discount ($3000-$3200 list). After the initial hype wore off, dealers around me that carried Parker were having trouble moving them at that price and ended up marking them down to $1600-1800 to try to get them out of their shops. That's not too far from selling them at cost.

Maybe I have a myopic view here, but, in my experience, basses that look great, play great, and sound great generally don't sit in shops long enough to need to be blown out at cost.
