I've never had a problem with 34" or 35" scale 4-5 string basses.

I have a BTB405QM, which is a 35" scale bass, I've played 34" and really don't even notice the difference. I've never really given much thought.

Meh, once you play any for a bit it gets easy, for me at the moment, my main axe is a 35" 4 banger, I'm more used to that than any 5'er, so thats my answer.

If I gave a few months just paying a 34" 5'er, my answer would no doubt be the opposite.
