Like any pedal it's all about context.
I use a disto, not a fuzz but I use it on a lot of our songs where I need to fill space. Usually during guitar solos and and when the guitarist is playing single note riffs and I'm holding down the rhythm. Some songs I use it all the way through though. Just depends. I've found that I don't like to use it if we're tuned any lower than D. Gets too muddy for my tastes.
