What do you wear when you play gigs?

Almost always a Logo-free T shirt for bar gigs or a Polo for nicer ones. Either Khakis or Jeans. Comfortable shoes - I'm not wearing my Star Wars crocs to a nicer venue but barring that I don't think people look at the bassist's feet that often.

Depends on the gig, indoor or out, etc. Dressing properly for the gig is as important as any of the other factors that make it successful.

For my reggae band, its a flannel or a t-shirt, 75/25 of the time shorts vs pants, skate shoes.. or less of that if its a beach gig.

For my metal band.. whatever goes best with either of these.

Black jeans, black leather Chucks or Dr. Martens, and a nice big button-up shirt.

Like many other here it depends on the gig. I even agree with 51 on dress. We always dress decent, right on down to our cargo shorts.

Depends on the venue and temperature. We do try to have somewhat of a "look". We never have worn shorts even in 100 degree heat - it can get pretty ugly. I've played everything from Green Bay in January (inside) to outdoor festivals in July/August in Indiana and everyting in between. I refer to my stage outfit as my monkey suit.

Need a hat, since I have little hair. Always jeans and short sleeve shirt (something I wouldn't wear to the office)
