What does "Following" a forumite mean?

Moderators: I'm sorry to put this thread on this forum, but this is where I spend most my time.

Anyway, I apologize for not being forum savvy, but what does it mean to "follow" somebody. Do you get notifications when they've posted or something?

that is pretty funny. Same here...I noticed I have followers and didn't know it. I don't have as many as KJung does. Ken is the mayor of this town.

hmm...interesting. (Funny too). I searched around the forum and FAQ's and such to look for an answer. Oh well.

When you follow someone, you can go to Your News Feed and find out what they've been posting. At least that's what I can gather from it.

It tells you if anybody you follow is online on the main page.

I follow any TBers that pop up in my region... I am creepy like that.

I usually follow Jimmy on Facebook because then I can keep up with his lawn mowing schedule.
