I see NBD in bass listings. No idea what it means. Is it a secret or have I lived a sheltered life?

With all the witty, but unhelpful replies, it's hard to discern truth from fiction. But to answer your question, it is indeed "New Bass Day", as two fingers said. The "tradition" around here is that if you get a new bass, you post a "NBD" thread. But the thread is incomplete unless you post pictures of your new bass. Welcome to TalkBass, by the way...
