What effect should I get next?

Ok so the effects bug is getting me and I'm looking to add pedal number 6, but not sure what to get. I play for fun in a covers band (Covid permitting) standard pop and rock tunes, occasional slap and basically jam with various folks when the opportunity arises.

My current set up and in this order, is:

Tuner (Behringer for now but soon to be replaced by D'Addario Planet Waves)
Enigma QBalls (replaced Eden Californiwah which decided to stop working one day!!)
Ampeg Opto Comp
Ampeg Liquifier
TC Spectradrive
(I have a Moeer Macro brick power supply which takes up way far too much space which I am going to replace with an MXR ISO Micro Brick)

Spectradrive and Opto Comp are always on, using the chorus pedal occasionally; love the QBalls but still working on how best to use it.

So what do I go with next; an octaver, flanger delay, fuzz, overdrive etc really open to any and all suggestions.

Trust me, you need a FUZZ!

Here's my top 2 suggestions :

An Orange Fut Coat, monster gnarly octave fuzz that sounds absolutely killer for bass, with adjustable level of the fuzzy analog octave up (based on the legendary Foxx Tone Machine circuit) :

Or if you feel cheap a Behringer SF300 Super Fuzz, also an awesome octave fuzz for bass, and not just for the money, a great fuzz for bass period (clone of the Boss FZ-2, based on the legendary Univox Super-Fuzz circuit) :

+1 for the Fur Coat. I just bought a Kongpresser based entirely on the strength of the Fur Coat. The Getaway Driver I'm not so much interested in.

Give the Source Audio C4 a try. It will change your mental preconceptions of what a pedal is.

Any preferences on the Octaver type/brand

If you're interested in an Octave, I have a 3 Leaf Audio Octavbre I'm letting go of..
Plus, if you're looking into delay, I have a brand new Keeley Caverns.. it's delay and reverb both , really fun pedal...

Message me if you're interested. I'll gladly send photos

I find the Octaver pedal more useful than most other things. The EHX Micro POG has been my go to for years as it will do octave above and below. They claim the Nano POG is the same thing on a smaller chassis
Octave & Pitch Shifting - Electro-Harmonix

You might also consider a Broughton Audio High+Low Pass Filter. It's not as exciting as a 'manipulation pedal' but it's the closest thing to magic as you'll find for dialing in live sound.

I finally retired my pedalboards (both guitar and bass) for a Boss GT-1000. It took me about a week to dial in 10 or so patches that cover all the sounds that I got from my old pedals, plus a cool new synth bass sound that I was never able to nail before. Now what to do with the 200+ unused patches...

I've been through a lot of effects - trying to see what works for the music I play. Seems I need eq, an octave, a subtle overdrive, and sometimes a chorus (sparingly applied). A power, supply, a DI, and I'm done.

The answer is not something someone else can really determine for you. Good luck in your quest. Watch your wallet - it can get ugly is you're at all particular about sound.

I recently built a pedal board, to replace my Zoom B3N.

In order of importance, to me:

Compressor (TC SpectraComp),
Spring Reverb (Malekko Spring),
Overdrive/Fuzz (Darkglass Vintage Microtubes),
Octaver (Boss OC-5),
Envelope Filter (Mooer Bass Sweeper).

I have more, but these are the ones I find useful in a band setting.

You can see the Pedal Board build here:
