I'm new to effects, been playing clean all my life don't really know what effects are used and would love to correctly cover them

21st Century sounds like a mellow envelope filter set to downward with a fast attack and release. A 3Leaf Groove Regulator could definitely cop that tone.

Stay Away sounds like an OD/Dist/Fuzz (or just an amp with the gain cranked) played with a pick to get that attack.
