What effects used to get this sound? Toxic.

The bass sound on this track is just fat and juicy.
It sounds like it could be a Moog but multiple sources credit a bass player on the track. There are multiple glissandos which convince me it’s a bass and not keys.
Listen with headphones to appreciate the playing and sound.

On a serious note - as someone who is Norwegian (but I'm American so lol) the player on this track is Swedish... but even on Talkbass not a thing on this bass player other than I found his Instagram... he seem to be a big name in the Europop world.

His Insta with some gear he uses
His Wiki page but in Swedish

Maybe hit him up on Insta? He seems chill, he is a massage therapist too - I trust that he is chill!

I also just want to say these are kind of bassist I think Youtubers should try to interview - I know so many obscure dudes who play on giant hits, give these cats a chance to talk, not wait till they are old look at Carol Kaye, Rutger Gunnarsson - Interview them earlier especially in todays age! I want better a great
Armand Sabal-Lecco interview he's an amazing bassist who is extremely lesser know but a giant player!

This is a pretty great look at the tone in a more isolated setting.

And here's someone getting close on a synth:

You can take some of the ideas and apply them to bass too, I'd say.

At :17 he gives you tone tips.

Another with just some fuzz:

Neat.
So I think the fuzz is doing most of the work.
A low pass is on it as well.
Maybe a really slow set auto wah and a bit of compression.

100% I find my tone knob works well as the LPF. I haven't been satisfied with any filters I've added, but I'm also using multi-fx for the most part since I don't have any stand alone ones
Did anybody mention fretless yet? Was it? I was not listening :)
I think the fretless can help sell the slides for sure. There's some cool covers I noticed being played on fretless.
