What else do I need?

I want to be able to record a bass and a piano, multitracked. I don't plan on ussing this gear to record more than one instrument at the same time, so I went on mf and picked out this gear http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/MXL-MXL-990-Condenser-Microphone-with-Shockmount?sku=273156 http://www.musiciansfriend.com/prod...s-Tube-MicrophoneInstrument-Preamp?sku=180643 http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Musicians-Friend-LoZ-Microphone-Cable?sku=338001

So my question is this, will this stuff do what I need it to? what else will I need, just a cord to connect it to my computor? or am I completely on the wrong track? any recomendations on beter stuff?

Unless you have a soundcard with XLR inputs and such on your computer, you will need a firewire or USB interface which does your Digital/Analog conversion. Such as this.

You can then just plug it into your 'pute and plug in your mic/line and record away!! (this interface comes with a cubaseLE ? software, there are many others and in all price ranges)

Hope this helps
