Ok. So now I am reading way too much info and am getting confused and overwhelmed. 10-2 seems great, but with an 800 it's getting close to the f112 with D800+ size and weight wise, which I will also have. I am trying to stay super nimble. Any feedback on that crazy 8 that I didn't already read? The crazy 8 is 14 pds vs 10-2 21 and a size difference too. I'd like to do this once and call it good.

There are so many great choices out there these days and each brings its own set of characteristics to the party - form factor, weight, voice, efficiency, etc... Here's my story which may or may not parallel yours.
I had an Acme B2 that I was not entirely happy with. I'm getting older and even though it is not beastly heavy, lighter sounded good to me. The biggest issue was the voice. The B2 felt too pillowy for me and the bottom end seemed to overwhelm everything else. I considered the F112, the Hathor 1203, and the Genzler BA12-3, along with the older discontinued Genz Benz 1288. For a variety of reason I went with the Genzler, bought one of the first 50 signed models, and have been thrilled with it. I had a Genz Benz Shuttle 9.0 (owned a Shuttle 3.0 before that) and a while later was feeling like I needed to upgrade. I obviously like the Genzler family of products so went with the Magellan 800 (the 350 wasn't out yet). It takes everything I liked about the shuttle up about about 5 notches. The Genzler is more muscular in every register. So I had 1 BA12-3 and the MG800 head and loved them. I do a lot of playing with singer/songwriters and began to feel that something smaller and lighter would be a positive thing.
I owned the Shuttle "combo with the 8 inch cab years ago and loved it for what it was... form factor was great but the cab did sound a bit boxy. I actually preferred the 3.0 head over the 9.0 except it didn't seem quite loud enough for some of my uses. The Genzler 350 combo had recently been released. I watched for a used shuttle but eventually decided on the 350 combo. I had read that the 10-2 cab plays well with the 12-3 and that the preamp in the 350 is virtually identical to the 800 so I bit the bullet and went with the 350 combo.
The 350 head does sound virtually identical to the 800 without the 2nd channel option. The DI is great and the contour control is killer. It is also loud enough for basically anything I do. The smaller cab is not as round or warm as its big brother but it shares the same dispersion characteristics which are very important to me. It also has a similar voice in that the mids are very vocal and the highs present without being harsh. It fits under my bed at home (without the cradle attached). Most of all the rig sounds great and even that single tiny cab could cover 90-95% of my gigs. When I want, it does indeed play well with the bigger brother. With either head, I could play all of my gigs with the two cab rig.
Let me muddy the waters even more for you... another tiny cab to consider is
Mike Arnopol's MAS18. 17X10.5X15 and 21 lbs. Not terribly efficient but goes down to 35 Hz at -3db. It's also available in a powered version...
