- What was so bad about unrestricted editing of posts?
- How long did Talkbass function without the restriction?
- What problem does the restriction aim to solve and does it achieve that objective?
- I like being able to edit my posts to correct errors of fact so I don’t end up inadvertently misleading fellow TBers with misinformation.
I have read it through. I agree with some of the reasoning in favor of the 60-minute restriction but not with all of it. Overall, however, I am not persuaded that the restriction is necessary and I think the policy should be reconsidered.Your questions have been addressed in the previous pages of the thread. How about creating an official poll?
There won’t be a poll. With all due respect, this isn’t a democracy. This is a private website and the owner and admins chose to enact a set of rules based on what they think works best for the site and management of it. You’re not required to agree to or be persuaded by them. If you feel the here rules are too strict for you, no one is keeping you here.
