What if Jaco played a Precision?

Without dwelling on Jaco and his choice of instrument, I think his influence even today steers Berklee-type students and a wide range of players toward the multitude of Jazz style pickup configurations. Not my thing personally so I guess I can try to rationalize the J style choices that are out there.

Would’ve been more palatable to a greater number of people than the number of people who’d have dismissed him for having an unremarkable sound of just using a fretless Precision into a 360/361 or whatever.
