bass --> Sansamp RBI input ---> Send --->EQ ---> compressor --->chorus ---> return ----> Sansamp RBI Output ---> (this is where we ara discussing about) ---> DI ---> Mixing Desk
and the reason I'm using a Behringer Dı is that my guitarist own that, I don't have a DI, I usually just have an XLR output from my preamp without a DI, it works just fine though![]()
well waiting for the answer![]()
You are using an RBI and adil is using a BDDI. That's important to keep straight.
O.k. Now, did you know that the XLR out on your RBI IS a DI? A DI is not necessarily a little box, it is an electronic circuit that performs a task. A lot of them are in little, self contained boxes. But a lot of them exist in preamps and heads.
Since going out the XLR out of the RBI IS a DI there's no need to add another DI (the Behringer) into the signal chain.
Don't get me wrong, you can use as many DI's as you want. I was just confused (obviously) with the gear you had and whay you were using it the way you were.
Joe.
