what is it and how do i do it!

So i was watching a demo of this dingwall bass and the guy playing it made this sound ive never heard! Its around 1:47 into the video



i can only describe it like a squeky toy noise? But if anyone knows whats its called and how to do it id be very grateful!

You push the G string down so it either connects with the edge of the pickup or the last fret. Much easier with light gauge strings. On my Warwick Corvette the edge of the pickup is a D natural so I can squeak those notes in tune when in certain keys.

It's after the harmonics, the "squeak squeak" just before the fadeout, when he switches from the white bass to the burst one, right? Sounds like some sort of pinch harmonic?
Right at 1:51, actually, yeah. I don't know. Couldn't do it if I tried.

I'm pretty sure he's just pressing the G-string down hard against the pickups and last fret.
