What is MIM?

I have been looking at different J basses and keep seeing "MIM" , what does that stand for?

Not as desirable as Made in USA due to quality control, but a good bass is a good bass. Pick it up, jam it, slap it, and play it. If you like it, buy it , if you don't move on.

Meh, the Assyrians used Mesopatamian labour anyway. Most of the time it comes down to a kinnarum by kinnarum basis; if you can find an MIM kinnarum with good fit and finish that works for you you should get it and save yourself some money.

Plus - there's plenty of boutique brands out there with a big future that do it with better quality control and attention to detail.... egyptian anyone?
