In all honesty, being a 19 year old male, I can assure you that I disagree with society's idea of sexy. I believe that a normal build is sexier than a skinny body, and I personally love some hips. Sexy to me has to do more with the personality, and frankly, covering up is sexier than showing off the goods. Want to leave something for the mind anyway.

Less makeup is good. Natural build is good. Less piercings is good.

I mean if you've got abs, show 'em off. If you've got awesome legs, it's okay to show 'em off. But don't come out in a bikini a la Christina Aguilera :)

Gotta agree totally ... although I play bass in our band we do have a female lead singer ... it's the attitude and confidence thing that comes across the stage, talent is great but if it's only singing (or playin) in the basement it's not gonna get ya very far.


:eek: ... And for all you ladies reading this ... our singer is 40+ so age is not a factor here.

Random comments: Dude's are attracted to women who dress sl*tty becasue they think the woman might be a sl*t. In other words, if I hang out long enough, perhaps.....

For musicians who are dead sexy regardless of clothing, check out Alison Krauss. Dresses like the church lady, but wow....

Actually I kind of like both kinds of girls... the 'dirty girls' and the ones you can take home to mom. They each have their places.

There's nothing wrong with dressing sexy or wearing makeup. Its dressing *slutty* that's not so great. And there's a thin line between sexy and slutty that too many people don't seem to perceive as they choose what to wear.

For instance, the woman I was describing up-thread, that I saw playing bass at SXSW...

She was very sexy. She showed off her legs, arms, and shoulders. She was wearing seamed stockings...one of the sexiest things a women with good legs can wear, IMO. But she wasn't slutty. She didn't have her boobs falling out of the dress, and while it was short, it was not so short that you'd mistake her for a hooker. She was made-up, but not overdone. Her body was very natural.

And she played SO well!

Sexy.
