what is the best recording interface to use with Windows Vista

I just ordered a new Dell which will come with Windows Vista Operating system-I have a Presonus firebox that I was never able to hook up to my old computer and now I realize that its also not compatible with Vista...anyone have any suggestions on a recording interface or other options that are compatible with Windows Vista so I can record my band/songs (6-8 tracks at least) on my desk top PC...thanks...peace... DAcat

I believe all the MOTU and RME interfaces are now supported. E-mu's Vista drivers are supposed to be coming out in a little while (in the meantime, E-mu has (unsupported) instructions on how to get XP drivers working under Vista.) M-Audio is really dragging their butts with Vista support, so I wouldn't be looking at their stuff. Edirol interfaces are now supported, I believe. Echo interfaces are also supported.

Thanks Keb-I also found out that the Presonus FP10 is compatible with Vista...I guess I'll just sell my firebox...Thanks...DAcat

I have the same problem, I have an M-audio 24/96 no dirvers.
I will have to buy another card

Echo. My Layla 24 is old by today's standards, but the company has at least supported it long enough to make sure it'll run in Vista, and other 64-bit OS's (32 bit Vista, as well). They pretty much insured that I'll buy my next recording interface from them, unless I can afford Apogee converters by next studio upgrade...

My Alesis io24 seems fine under Vista.
