What is the deal with Gibson Rippers on eBay??!

I don't know if this is true but maybe it also has to do with Guitar Hero 3/Rock Band video games. Lots of old artists are getting new record sales from people introduced to their music that way. Guitar Hero games also have a bunch of Gibson guitars and basses in their games. I don't know if Ripper is available in there though

I've played those Guitar Hero and Rock Band games, personaly i don't like them that much.. i know that one of them have a musicman stingray that looks like a ripper almost... it makes me angry, you can play as a guitarist,drummer, or vocalist.. but not as a bassist in campaign or solo mode, what ever it's called...
