Why not just tell him that he's stupid if he can't afford one and learn about it for himself, because that certainly seems like what you're going for.

Sadowsky's aren't that great. They're nice, but they're the same as any other high end bass. Nice wood, nice electronics, nice construction, but altogether normal when compared to Fodera, Smith, Celinder, and the like.
