Double Bass What is the input impedance on Lowdown LD150 amp?

Hi. I want to know the input impedance on my Lowdown LD150 amp because I want to buy a pickup for my double bass but don't know what kind I should buy. Thanks.

Lenbytown,
I took a look at the users manual and of course they don't give you that spec. You can most likely email Line 6 and they will give it to you. My guess is that it's set at 500 k ohms because that's fairly typical for bass amps geared toward Electric Bass, though it's not always set there. As far as buying a pickup goes it's fairly easy to remedy the mismatch between the piezo and the amp by buying a buffer preamp like FDeck's HPF/Pre or the Fishman Pro Platinum ( with all the bell's and whistles i.e the notch filter, graphic eq, and limiter). There's quite a difference in price between the HPF/Pre (really affordable) and other units on the market like the .
