Old Peavey gear comes to mind for me. Nothing fruffy or pretensious about it. Just big, heavy, loud, built like a tank workhorses that get the job done, and were built in Mississippi. 15 and 18 inch speakers, and amps that can be played at 16, 8, 4, or 2 ohms. I mean come on, what could be more "manly" than "black widow" and "scorpion" speakers?

Or is it at optimum height to play your best while avoiding carpal tunnel etc.?

Do you trust the ladies or guys will dig you anyway?

Does your amp's "attitude" substitute for some perceived lack elsewhere?

Are you here to play music or attract adulation? Does the rest of the band share your vision?
