I could possibly believe you found a bass in the trash like that. What I can't believe is that you found a bass like that in the trash in a case like that. Seriously?

My bro-in-law runs a business that cleans out storage units and buildings and stuff like that. You would lose your mind if you saw the contents of his warehouse. He found this bass and offered it to me. But yeah... I’m kinda more excited about the case.I could possibly believe you found a bass in the trash like that. “...how much for the gun?”
Found this in the trash!

Jaco? I was hoping it was the Jason Priestly Model.Every time I see one of these I think about a listing I saw years ago where the seller thought the JP meant Jaco Pastorius, as if this was a signature bass of his put out by Fender. Definitely nothing wrong with the JP-90's, they weren't very popular and definitely NOT a Jaco signature bass by any means lol.

It's just another case of Fender trying something new & apparently everyone hated it.
1999 seems like 5 years ago. Can't believe the dollar has inflated so much. First time I've ever felt old. They were conceived as a "budget" bass. It's equipped with cheap hardware and electronics. Also, the style varies just enough from traditional Fender design to have been shunned by the Fender loyal followers. The retail price in 1999 was $499 so the street price was likely just a little over $400 which translates to about $750 in today's dollars. So, this was in like an American Special range.
Sadly, that's the most likely back-story here!somebody..really ticked off their woman!!!
