I have a few vintage Morley wah pedals that need some sprucing up. The chrome is a bit dull in spots and there is some minor pitting. I don't intent to make them look brand spanking new but just a littl better. What is your favorite chrome polish?

Semichrome made in Germany. The best polish for chrome and brass I have used. Even works well at removing light scratches from plastic and poly finish

I have good luck with a good car wax, Mother's, Meguiar's, etc. Just be sure it's straight wax and not polish or wax polish, which includes ultra fine grit for smoothing out minor paint imperfections, scratches, orange peel. Do not want that fogging up plated surfaces
I like Flitz and Simichrome for polishing metals. Just beware that none of those polishes are going to remove pits from chrome plating. The polishes are made to clean goop and tarnish off of the surface of the plating. Pits are actual holes through the layer of chrome. There's no fix for that, other than getting the part stripped and replated.
Flitz is great for polishing metals, I use it on my meringue bowl; but use it in a well ventilated area. The fumes are something else.
Metal polish and favorite are two things that have never entered my mind together.

Not sure if it will work on pitted chrome but I use water and aluminum foil [yes, you read that correctly] on the chrome exhaust tips on my car. Something w/ the aluminum foil reacting w/ the water that really make them shine.

Get some "Never Dull". I use it on expensive motorcycle chrome. If it's good for them it sure will be fine on a pedal. Automotive stores carry it.
I don't recommend using steel wool on chrome or nickel plating. It will make fine scratches and dull the shine.
As a former owner of a number of very chromed out Harleys I can say with a great degree of certainty that #0000 steel wool makes no visible scratches in chrome and makes it shine like new.
Okay. Well, I've tried scrubbing chromed musical instrument hardware with #0000 steel wool, and it definitely did scratch it. It's a common way to bring down the shine of plated hardware and make them look more aged.
I learned the trick from a high end Corvette restoration shop... used it on cars, bikes, sink fixtures, and instruments many times. #000 will chew stuff up, but #0000 should be safe. I guess as they always say... "test on a hidden area first"
