Go back and forth with those on my 58' reissue

Very good tone and durability very longer than the others - my first set is still on my Precision and I wait after 1 year that I can wait a little longer... On the other hand I hated the Blue Steel from Dean Markley, bad sound like old strings since the first day.

generally i use nylon strings as they are comfortable and last long

I guess, you are not in hard rock with nylon strings.

i had been using Flat wound LaBella Deep Talkin 105,s on my Custom Shop Jazz Awesome deep punchy Very Long lasting strings... i was after that Bob Segar Her Strut sound and got it 100 % ...they were suggested by a Talkbass member....then later i tried Fenders newer Flat Wound 9050,s also i think there called also 105,s..price was very cheap so i tried i and regretted right away from day one making the change but i have honestly given the string it must be 6 or 8 months of gig,n and i still feel the same way the sound and tones are ok its the feel .Its hard to discribe the actual feeling on my finger tips irrotates me.i since scored a deal online for 2 new packs of my labella,s $32 bucks a pack delivered to my door im not sure if im allowed to mention from were but anyways i cant wait to put them back on...Terry

if you read my reply above this is #2...I recently purchased a Musicman Sterling Classic OMG i love this Bass its got this Growl type tone i just LOVE.This Bass comes from MM with Ernie Ball round wounds 100,s a little light for me so i threw on my broke in Fender Flatwounds 105,s *** that wicked growl sound gone i instantly put the Rounds back on her LOL.. .What i plan on doing is putting EB round 105,s on but im gonna gig one gig with the 100,s just to make sure.Live im always through our PA with subs im thinkin one step at a time...i will keep you guy,s posted

Have used the DR Marcus Miller signature as well, but love the High Beams.

TI's with my Fender 70 P-bass - amazing strings get better as they get older.
DR Marcus Miller Fat Beams - I have these on a jazz over 4 years old and I am still winding the treble back. I think with these you need to give them at least 4 months before they sound great!

I have been a DR customer for years (High Beams and Fat Beams). Have recently switched to D'addario EPS Pro Steels (EPS 165-5). Fender Am Deluxe Jazz 5, Xotic XJ-1T, Lakland 55-02 sound better and last longer.

Have tried all kind but always go back to nickel. I like the feel and that mid presence they have. I like the blue steel nickel sets but use mainly ernieball because of the low cost l.

Aurora coated 45-105 best sounding and feeling strings I have ever used, the coating is tough as hell too, pretty much gotta beat em with a hammer to get the coating off
