Yeah, although lots of people say it's alright to use rounds on fretless, the worn out marks on my fretless rosewood board due to the Rotosound Swing 66 SS rounds that I had used only few weeks, hurt my eyes every time I looked at it. So, eventually I brought the bass back to the luthier for redressing the board together with a set of HalfRounds to be put on afterwards.
He only laughed when I asked if it would be free of charge since it was no more than a month from the time I payed him for putting new fretless board. Although it didn't cost much, still it took sometime for me to be able to play it again.
Now I've changed the strings once more. This time I chose Chromes, not because the HalfRounds had any effects to the board, but due to the low B had lost it charm too quickly.
And I should say Chromes low B is one of the best low B strings for 34" scale.
