It's a very rare, limited edition (of one) Nota-Fender

It may have been a Fender or a Squier at one time. Someone did things to it.

    $1,100?! I wouldn't pay 1,100 cents for it! :rollno:

Prone to ranting, episodes of moral outrage.
This is an old Squire that was left out in the sun too long.

My first thought was “the ugly kind.” But the more I look at it, the more I kinda like it. Not $1100 like it (perhaps with one fewer zeros), but nonetheless...

I wonder how much of that bass is Fender... maybe just the neck plate?

Looks more like an Eastwood Bender. At least the body does.

I'd cop that. Not for $1100, but if that were in a shop and played ok I'd probably snag it. If I had any money, of course.

I kind of dig it. Looks pretty well done, but not for $1,100. My guess is the neck is a Squier, and for a lot of sellers on CL, eBay, etc, that's a Fender...

That thing has nothing to do with Fender or Squire except that is sorta resembles a jazz bass that was left in the oven too long.

In the late 60’s/early 70’s, that thing would look normal. Still not a Fender though.

Obviously there are not art lovers on TB. To me this was instantly recognizable. Let me provide an image that should jog everyone's memory:
    17acc9b408971c61123354fe050d00e5 copy.

If the bass is actually signed by Salvador Dali the seller could be seriously low balling this one...

I like the "$1100 or best offer"

soon he'll realize that "best offer" really means about $200 :D
