What model Sterling is this? It's beautiful!

According to the post on their FB page, these were custom jobs. I'm sure that if you contacted them and referenced this image, you could order one

This had me in stitches.

Call up ole Sterling and tell him you want something done differently than what is coming off the line, see how that works out for you. You need to be a serious somebody to have EBMM do special stuff. People like Tony Levin and Randy Jackson get custom EB's, not ordinary people, not even people with money.

So they make cool custom basses and show them off but the average guy cant order one? thats pretty lame. I can get any Fender under the sun.

They've done this more times than I can count. Sterling Ball believes there are enough options already on the table. I think he came up with a number in the 6-7,000 range of how many combinations you could order based on what they offer (color, fingerboard wood, pickup combinations, matching headstock, etc.). They're selling basses and guitars left and right, so they must be doing something right.

So where do you think I got this from?

Yes they make special runs with cool options - this package was available on most guitars and basses with a one month ordering window - I ordered the Mahog Sabre and it's pretty close to unique.

Those basses look very cool in the pic. Maybe they will be a future limited edition who knows!!

Well I'm glad that some of a chuckle out of my comment! I had no idea that EB didn't have a custom shop... I have seen several basses with custom finishes coming from the factory for artists and assumed that if somebody on this side of an endorsement of record deal was willing to drop enough $$, they would be able to get something similiar.

Clearly I was mistaken.
