I bought this loaded MIM body, mods well done (professionally), it belonged to a studio musician who wanted a bass with a P or J, the circuits were separate depending on which output jack was used. The jazz PUPs were Lollars.
I added a loaded MIM P neck, and a Lollar P PUP. Never caring for separate output jack setup, I had a custom harness made with a PUP selector toggle switch (J, P, or J/P) replacing one of the output jacks. It also includes a series/parallel switch for the J PUPs.
I have approximately $550 invested in it, and it is a unique and wonderful bass, so I think it could be sold at a break-even price for parts less labor? Sadly I am no longer in the Classic Rock band I put it together for, nor do I play 4s anymore. But I'm not worried about value, it looks good on my display bass wall.
