What pedal board to buy.....?

Hey Guys,

Below is a pic of my current setup. I plan on adding a MuTron III, Deep Impact, and Mutron octave divider in the near future. I want a board that will fit everything, with room underneath for a psu, wiring, etc, as well as something with tons of room on it for expansion incase i decide to grab a few new pedals.

Idealy i'd like to mount

They're ... ok. Not the best sound ever, but together with some distortion on top I can get some really nice synth tones. See the two links below, here's a recording with the Delay, Phase Shifter, Flanger and Big Muff

The first was rec'd through a DI with some fairly basic settings and the second one is the synthy sound i was talking about.

Ahh thanks, yeah I LOVE the Marcus Miller, it's my baby! I'd really like a stringray at this point though, but im only 16 right, so i've got a while to go

Personally I absolutely LOVE the big muff, perfect tone, it was JUST what I was after. It's much warmer, with a bit more ... kick than the NYC version, i'd recommend it for bass all the way.

I went through the same dilemma when I switched to single effects and decided to build my own board. I ended up with two smaller boards... one "main board" for pedals I always take with me, another for "fun stuff" like delay/phaser/looper and they're connected in the middle with a 105Q. It's modular so I don't have to bring everything all the time, each board has room for a power strip and it's own hardshell case.

You can't see it so well in this picture, but the back row on each board is on a riser, which hides a Dunlop Power Brick. The wires tuck nicely under the riser, too. If you're a do-it-yourselfer, it's a great project because you can really build something that's perfect for your needs without much cash investment... $ .50 for a sheet of "scrap" wood at a hardware store, $4 for a can of spray paint if you feel like painting it, $17 for velcro and $24 each for the hardshell cases.

Hey, ive just turned 17 so i know the feeling!
Stringrays are great, but i need to upgrade my amp first before i buy any more basses (i have 5 guitars + 3amps plus two pedalboards)

I deffo think the warrwick rockcase board would do the trick for your pedals.

personally I have never been a fan of prebuilt pedal boards. I say make you own, that way you can make it however you want. Just plan ahead on how big you want it, if your going to add more pedals and where your power supplies are going to be. Its really not that hard.

Yeah That's what I'm going to do, but i'd really like one of those metal cases like the bloke over a custompedalboards.com does, quite sexy. Plus i'd like a couple VU meters facing me on stage so I can see the volume difference before and after my signal chain so i dont press something and blow up an amp.
