What Pickguard for my Jazz?

I would be interested to see it with some other colors, but I think the off white looks timeless, and with that colour body it looks very clean and smart. I would fear it looking a bit tacky with pearloid somehow.

Just kidding. I'd go Tort but not your average tort. Find someone to make you a vintage firestripe tortoise guard. I think Terrapin does them.

Thanks for all the responses everyone. Since I posted this I've seen a couple of Sonic Blue/Tort J's and something about it just doesn't seem right to me..

White Pearloid seems like a good match, but I agree with others it might be a touch too fancy. I may just stick with the timeless Mint guard, it does go very well with the Sonic Blue.. Maybe I should just add some Chrome knobs or something

Well, the cool thing is there are no big swimming pool routes under the pickguard ala Fender, so I could always throw on a Clear pickguard, that way all the Sonic Blue shows through!

Clear or leave it as is would be my vote. I think your bass has a simple beauty that could be ruined with something "fancy."

White pearl if you just wanna make it look nice, black/white/black if you wanna make it different and give it a dark, mysterious look. Personally, I think the constrast of a light bass and a dark guard is cool or vice versa.
