I'm trying to get together a W/moth Jazz bass and i would really like a J-retro Pre in it (i think these things sound amazing
)
But i was wondering what pickups would work well along side it?
The kind of tone i usually like is, Somewhere around Mark King's Mr. Pink tone for slap, nice and round and not too clicky, And nice and round and warm with a little bit of brightness for fingerstyle
Any suggestions welcomed
