...we are having a Halloween party at work and I need a WORK APPROPRIATE Halloween costume.

Any ideas?

This is just me personally, but I would cut the holes in a sheet for your head and go out as a ghost. Those ghosts just FREAK me out so I give them a larger apple and 2 quarters instead of one.

Cheerleader is work appropriate as long as you still fit into your high school cheerleader uniform. One of the women at our office wore hers last year, and trust me, nobody had a problem with it.
