What strings have light blue silk wrapping?

Hi, did you ever find out what strings those were? I just bought a jazz bass and I think it has the same strings! Light blue silk ends, but the balls are red, blue, white, red. Roundwound, fairly light. Let me know, because I like them and want to buy them again. Thanks!

I love 'em. They feel really great when you're practicing scales and stuff, starting with a with a super light touch and building and growing and increasing tempo.

I just figured it out! Rotosound swing bass 66, nickel 45s

Hi the bass strings with the light blue silk ends are the Rotosound RS66LDN swing bass 66 nickel bass strings (45-105) ball end red, blue, white, red and the Rotosound RB45 are the same strings exept no blue silk ends for the tuner rap around and they cost less.

I just bought a bass with light guage roundwound strings, appear to be nickel plated. They have very light blue silk ends. Does anybody know what these are?

I really like them and would like to know so I can get the same kind when they wear out. Thanks!!!

Somehow just came across this thread from 20 years ago...(!) Anyway, if someone else happens across this thread with similar questions, on my Jazz bass I have Rotosound Swing Bass 66 Nickel Roundwounds that match this description (and match a later description of blue silk with white, red, and blue ball ends). Nice strings! Cheers

I am also looking for a similar set of strings for my bass. Anyone know what strings these are? I was thinking they might be some Blue Steel after reading through this thread, but can anyone help verify? Bass strings are expensive and I would not like to waste any money.

The ones in those pics you quoted above look very old. Probably an older version of the Rotosound Swing Bass 66 Nickel before they started color-coding the ball ends.

Blue Steels with blue silk would have come with black ball ends (or black and blue).

Hi, These strings are very old, worn and filthy---but feel and sound great. Imported Japanese/Fujigen Squier. From what I've read here...I'm guessing the are older versions of Rotosound Swing Bass 66 Nickels. Sound plausible? Any other possibilities? Thanks
