Our freezer does that too with ice cream. I have a hard time believing the freezer is bad when everything else is frozen rock solid but ice cream.
My fix was to stop buying ice cream. Problem solved.

I wouldn't eat bacon flavored icecream, or ice cream with bacon in it, but I'd totally eat the two togather mixing them as I ate. It's like sour cream on a burrito, it's a hot cold texture thing.
There's always room for pie, man.
Ps @SamanthaCay I might be able to get with that. I remember having a sriracha ice cream that was good, back when people weren't tired of that old meme. I guess sometimes things that don't seem too go together, actually do really well.
