what kind of prices do custom warwicks go for?

The same as a stock Warwick list price with the extras you pick added on top. Check this list for a guide:

My custom Warwick ended up costing about £200 more than a stock model, although not counting the fact I'd have got a bit off cash on a store deal.

Starting off with a Thumb and then tweaking it to your needs would be the best of both worlds IMO.
 
I'm surprised at that Bruce, I thought they would cost more. Do they not charge extra for a fretless option though?

nope, with warwick fretless and/or lefty for no extra cost =)

Check out Shuker, great custom builds cheaper and in my opinion sexier than Sei.

Oh and he's a great guy too. I'm currently saving up for a 4 string fretless.
