Yes, twiddle the knobs on the back at the same time - if they don't change the tone then the bulb has gone. There's a bit of treble output from the woofers on their own, but not a lot!

Yes, twiddle the knobs on the back at the same time - if they don't change the tone then the bulb has gone. There's a bit of treble output from the woofers on their own, but not a lot!
You have to remove the grille and then carefully remove, IIRC, the top driver. Move it to one side and you should see the lamp on the PCB attached to the back panel. Again IIRC it’s a regular auto stop light. It’s been a while and my memory does get a bit fuzzy lately. 
As I said earlier you can get a poly switch from Andy and solder it into the dead lamps base. That way it’s a one off repair.
