What to do with my stimulus?!

So I got my economy stimulus check and now I need to find out what Im gonna do with it! I need a combo amp to use for practice, rehersals, and small gigs. But on the other hand, I would like a new bass also. Right now Im playing a OLP MM2 into poweramped sansamp rbi into Ampeg 810. I deffinetely need the combo so I dont have to haul the huge rig around but upgrading the bass would be nice too. This is what Ive been thinking about picking up.

1) Eden Nemisis N28
2) Ampeg BA115 ( I know, ive done my research )
3) Spector Legend Classic
4) Fender Mike Dirnt P Bass
5) Craigslist special :
American P Bass
Ampeg BA112
Cables, Case, Strap, Tuner, you name it....
$800

I really want to jump on american fender since its a pretty good deal but...
- Its not really the combo I want
- If I spent over $1000 on a bass, I would probably buy something different
- Spending that much now will wipe me out

I think Im going to the samash store tonight to see what they have for combo's and if nothing, I think Ill order the nemisis combo. And eventually buy a new bass that which will most likely be the spector.

my initial response would be of a combo amp, but id have to ask, where would you need to take an amp? obviously the 810 doesnt have near the portability of a combo, especially something like the ba115 w/ wheels, but with all that nice gear, why not improve your overall sound with a nice new bass? but like i said it all depends on what you use it for. you could just replace the pup in your bass for now and and get a smaller cab like a 4x10 or a 2x10 to maybe get a little of both?

Well I did want a new bass for obvious reasons (OLP is not all that bad but not all that good either). But also wanted the combo because I leave the big rig at the bands practice spot and needed a combo for home. So I figured I would get a gig capable combo if I didnt want to carry around the huge rig. So I go to samash a tried out a BA115 that they had in store and it was pretty much crap. So I put the Eden N28 on order, Im hoping this will be good without playing it but Im pretty positive it will be. Who knows when that might come in, im not going to hold my breathe. After this I was still gear hungry so I put the Spector Legend on order from the perfect bass. Its a amberburst 4 string. I know someone who has an identical one, it played and felt very comfortable. I cant wait for it to come in, maybe today or tomorrow.

You may consider Roland Cube 100 for home use and not too loud rehearsals (and perhaps some gigs even). Easy enough to carry, has lots of sonic flexibility and makes a very good DI for recording and PA.
