What wah are you using?

Dunlop(s): Tried both white versions. I didn’t like them.

My major grip with wah's in general is how they kill the bass frequencies but

I find this contradicting...

I use both of the Dunlop 105's and those don't have bass freq loss. The two adjustable knobs on the side are great for dialing the wah to your plucking style, as well as the effect return to bypass delay adjustment.

Killing bass frequencies is my pet peve to many different kinds of pedals as well.
I'm surprised you didn't like them.

I had my trusty Ibanez weeping demon for years… then went to the mini white Dunlop bass wah. It was ok but just ok…
When the JC wah came out and saw it had the feature of the fuzz and filter wah it’s been my main ever since.

Who knows, it’s not the first time I have had the white Dunlops and they never stuck around for long time.

Right now the wah on the pedalboard is the Dunlop dual inductor custom one. Received it this week but it's hopefully staying.

I so rarely use a wah that I only own an ancient Hammond Wah that I pulled out of a trashcan and had a TV repairman fix it back in the early 70s. When I need that sound I will use one of my Zoom pedals or warm up the old Digitech BP8 both of which have excellent sounding options. In the 80s and 90s I did have a MuTron Volume Wah that I used mainly as a volume control for my effects chain.

I liked the white Dunlop 105Q, had two of those (well, rebought it after selling the first one). The first one had a failed mini switch though, seems to be a weak spot somewhat (I've seen others have that issue too). Easy fix though. I eventually moved on to envelope filters so I didn't get to experiment more with wahs. I wanted to try a Wilson wah, but never did.
