Cello for 6 years, bass guitar for 17 years. I still love the sound of a cello, but as I haven't touched one since i was 16, it would be nothing but screeches from me.
Almost +1 to rmkesler! Found a sax in the attic of the grandparents some 18 years ago, and started tinkering. Been jazzing for a good few years with an array of saxes and did a little fiddling with the keys that hasn't (yet) taken, but always wanted to GROOVE,
I finally stopped procrastinating a couple of weeks ago and took the plunge into the world of the low end. More story there, but that's the skinny version.
Cello? Hmm... you know what you should do? Tune your bass CGDA like a cello! Sounds cool, man. Plays differently, though.
