What was your first amp (old guys only)

Don't know how old old is, but my first was a 50W John Hornby Skewes 1x12 guitar combo with built in tremelo but no distortion. It was terrible. Both myself and our guitarist played through it at the same time. 
My second was a 100W Custom Sound 1x15 combo that shifted serious air for its size and was about as much of an improvement as it's possible to get. I sounded like a cross between Lemmy and Jah Wobble through it. Interesting!

When I first started I used to practice through an old Selmer combo - two 12's, 50W all tube amp, spring reverb, push button tone selectors. It would never have been enough for a gig, but it sounded great for practice at home.
The first "real" bass amp I had was made by Ohm - anyone remember them? It was a 15" 100W combo. I did a lot of gigs with that amp, it was pretty good as I recall. I bought it about 1981, I think - it cost me £145.

I remember Ohm! I bought an Ohm 4x10 (at least I think it was a 4x10) cab after selling the Custom Sound and used it with a Fender Bassman 135 head. Unfortunately it didn't work at all; I sounded terrible!

Maybe there's not a difference. Oh that was another post, sorry, I'm old. But while Im here, mine was very used, Kustom metal flake green, tuck n roll padded 150amp w/matching 2x15 cab. Very Charp mang!

60's Australian Strauss Lancer bass amp, 90watt valve head, 6*12 cab.
Used it for guitar and I wish I still had it!

My first amp was an original, brand new Ampeg B-15, with the flip-top. Now that was a cool amp!

First amp I ever bought was an '84 Peavey Basic 50. Got it in summer '87. Still have it and use it for demo recordings to this day!

Had a Fender for two gigs (I can't recall the model #, it was a new head they came out with in the late 80's with a stereo setup) but it blew up. Brought it back to the store and they'd had the other one come back too. GAve me full credit and I got my dream amp, 800RB. Kept that amp for almost 20 years, great great head.
Unfortunately, I had very little money left over and had to get this used Peavey cab with 210 and 118 in it. I hated that cab (I'm not an 18 fan). Later I got the very first Eden 410T that came out and kept that until I hurt my neck and went NEO. Great cab as well, so I more than got my money's worth on both.
Let me tell you, it seemed like every band we played with back then had old Peavey rigs and mine just smoked it!!!!!

(Mid's 70's,) Tiesco 15 Watt I think, came with the Tiesco Bass (Sunburst), my Mom got it for me at Zayres Dept. Store. Then came a Used Sunn Concert and eventually two humongo Ampeg "B25B" Cabinets (2 x 15's each), used to flank the drummer's kit. I can't say I've seen cabinets like them since anywhere, I put in JBL's in at least one of them...can't really remember if I ever did both. Ah yes, those were the days!

How old is old?
Mine was a Peavey Basic 40 in 1985. It was a positively worthless amp. 40 watts, one 12" speaker, utterly devoid of tone and cajones. I actually played it on a few early gigs.
