What was your worst tour experience?

Just curious, what was your worst tour experience? Like did the airlines lose a bass, or did the power go off at a show?

I've never lost anything. But I've lost power a lot of times. But that's not really a nightmare. That can turn into something cool. That happened onetime at a festival we were playing with the Dirty Dozen Brass Band. And trust me, the drums and all of the brass,...the place was rocking. And when the power came back on it was at a crescendo!

I've have tons of international flights home get canceled. That's not a big deal either. I got to stay another day in a cool place and get bumped up to 1st class.

I've had tour busses break down. I have trouble getting into Canada and I was denied entry once. I've had concerts get canceled. I've had crazy ex-girlfriends show up!

That all seems minor to me.

I've been lucky with basses.

i've seen them a few times here in NY- great band... IMO there is no better act for the power to cut out on!

I've been touring in France with a big band. One night, only 5 people came to the show. Why?

The guy in charge of publicity forgot our show... Nobody in town knew we were playing there! Horrible!

A 18 pieces band playing for a crowd of ... 5...

I wasn't in Spain. That was SMV. but I was stranded there once with the VWB. Divinity I has a great time. We jumped on the subway and went to a couple of squares. I even got recognized a couple of times.

My worst gig experience was I played for a national choir competition. The problem was they put the band behins the choir by like 20 feet, so basically we can't see the choir director or anything. So as we are playing, we obviously can't hear them sing, making us play basically from memory. I messed up because I did a repeat when I shouldnt have and messed up the music. We came in second place. They say we didn't take first because we didn't have the "cute" factor that the other choir had. It was youth choirs and the other choir actually had kid musicians, whereas we had fully grown musicians. I think we lost because I messed up my part. Till this day I still kick myself for it. Now, I make sure I practice songs for gigs a bunch of times before the actual gig.

My father passed away the morning of our first set, that night my pedal adapter blew so my tone was dry half our set was heavy on delay, so we bombed lol
